Point of View: Yugyeom’s First Solo Show in Manila!

by Philippine KPOP Convention

August 19 marks Yugyeom’s first ever solo show in Manila.

The whole New Frontier Theater turned green as Filipino Ahgases gave their hottest welcome for Yugyeom for his concert. Yugyeom is the fourth GOT7 member to visit the Philippines this year following Jackson, Bambam, and Youngjae. He last visited the Philippines last 2019 for the Manila leg of their tour “GOT7 Keep Spinning”.

DJ Wegun captivating the energy of the crowd

Stirring up the New Frontier Theater was none other than DJ Wegun as he gets the crowd hyped up with his remixes live on stage. Apart from his sick beats, notable songs such as GOT7’s “Lullaby”, “Poison”, “Never Ever”, and “Teenage”, Jay Park’s “Mommae”, Simon Dominic’s “Simon Dominic”, Loco and Hwasa’s “Don’t”, and Lee Hi’s “Red Lipstick” were also played.

Hitting the stage with Yugyeom

Beginning with the song “I Want U Around”, Yugyeom definitely got the PH Ahgases roaring with excitement. Following this were “Running Through the Rain”, “When U Fall”, “Falling In Love”, “All About U”, “All Your Fault”, and “Love The Way”, all belonging to his album, Point Of View: U, to which the attendees sang along.

He also performed songs which are not in his album such as “Take You Down” and “Light”, together with GOT7’s “Hard Carry” where he went down the stage to interact with the fans and an unreleased track.

Aside from these, he also showed his versatility in dancing and rapping to Jay Park’s “All I Wanna Do” where he revealed his infamous dandelion rib tattoo which made the crowd go wild.

Before wrapping up his concert, Yugyeom made sure to send a heartfelt message to the fans who attended.

“I love you guys. I love you guys so much. I will always remember today. I won’t forget your love tonight,” he said to which the fans replied, “Walang uuwi!” (No one will go home).

His last song was GOT7’s 1+1 from the album Breath of Love: Last Piece and a surprise choreography performance together with his crew, KyumCrew.

As the concert ended, he never forgot to thank the fans who attended his concert.

This event surely is memorable as 4 out of 7 members of the group, GOT7, have already performed in the country this year. How was your experience?
