Bom and Us together, It just feels so right

It was an awesome month for Blackjacks as for the second week in a row, they get to experience another 2NE1 member through YOU&I, Park Bom’s 1st ever fan concert in the Philippines. Even though the weather is harsh on that day, PH Blackjacks and BOMshells braced everything to see their idol.

The show opened with her short version of 2NE1’s Fire and continues to show more of her personal songs to the delight of many.

When one of her top hits, Don’t Cry, played, Bom surprised the fans by going down the stage and interacts with them thoughout the song.

Along with the concert part of the show, Park Bom interacted with fans through various games and even participating on dancing Paro Paro G alongside the winning contestants from the cover contest.

The main set ended with Bom’s all-time classic, You And I, which totally hypes the crowd. During the song, she also interacts with all the BOMshells and sings with them thoughout the song. Her fanservice is definitely off the charts.

The encore only consists of one song but that one song is none other than her version of 2NE1’s Lonely which makes us reminisce the good old days of her 2NE1 years and also makes us appreciate her longevity in this industry.

Back-To-Back with EXO-SC

Filipino EXO-Ls (PHIXOs) waited four long years to see Sehun and Chanyeol back in Manila!

We asked a few concert attendees on what they think is the best part of the concert:

Julie, a long-time EXO-L said “Yung Hawak Kamay part 🙂 para syang travelling through time. From DKFC to Exordium to SC Fancon. For me nostalgic sya na 10 years later, andito pa din tayo. Hawak kamay virtually with Exo.”

According to Gayle, “One would be Sehun and Chanyeol trying out Filipino “kakanin” or rice cakes and actually loving them. They even practiced saying the names of the rice cakes as correctly as possible, and I think that reflects their genuine love for PHIXOS and how they truly want to foster a stronger idol-fan relationship. Another would be Chanyeol singing “Hawak Kamay” with PHIXOs. Just goes to show that he know his fans well, and that the other EXO members cherish unique things that link them with their international fans.

You can definitely see through their smiles that they were so happy performing in front of Filo EXO-Ls. The whole fancon was like a big music session because both the idols and the fans were singing their hearts out enjoying the time together. – HYA

“All moments are considered best but whenever I remember how EXO Ls sang along to their songs, it makes me proud that I am part of it. Not to mention Chanyeol’s plans to live in the Philippines because he felt so loved by us.” – KRISTINE

“Actually, the whole concert was the best experience but if I was to pick one, it was the question & answer portions or the little game. The interaction between EXO-SC and every Phixo was amazing. Kudos to the organizer for a well planned fancon.” – ROSSEL

It was an unforgettable day for Filo EXO-L’s including myself. The whole event was great, though segments are pretty much the same for all stops. What makes it extra special for Filo EXO-L’s were Chanyeol’s Hawak Kamay and his covers of Creep. Also, the additonal song for Sehun’s dance challenge and the puto segment. – Ella

The best part of the concert for me was the crowd singing along with Sehun and Chanyeol because you can tell how genuinely happy it made them. Really helped in creating an atmosphere where everyone was having a great time. – Angela

The loud cheers from the crowd and EXO-SC repeatedly saying “Kayo ang best” is the confirmation that it was really a night to remember.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT CONQUEST 2023

CONQuest Festival 2023 is only a few days away and fans are getting 3 days of exciting activities happening simultaneously at the SMX Convention Center, Conrad Hotel, Mall of Asia, Seashell Lane and NU MOA. To help you get the best CONQuest experience, here are some of the thing you can expect:

EXPO FLOOR (TECH & GAME DEVS)

The Expo Floor will be filled with booths from Predator, Riot Games, Globe and our favorite tech and gaming companies plus guest booths where you can get signatures, merch, prints and more from your favorite guests.

There will also be an Indie Game Zone where exhibitors can promote their studio or game titles and you can try their demos for free.

The Expo Floor also includes the QuestMarket where you can check out awesome collectibles and merchandise from many different artists and shops. You can buy stickers, shirts, plushies, and more so best be prepared by having cash or your e-wallet with you.

WIDE ARRAY OF GUESTS

You won’t have any time to spare because there will be panels and workshops where guests will talk about topics such as building mechanical keyboards, content creation, songwriting, cosplaying and gaming.

Fans also get the chance to meet their favorite content creators, voice actors, streamers, cosplayers and more thru the Free MeetZone and the additional paid meet & greets with The Rose, Scamily and Shoto.

FOOD FESTIVAL

You won’t go hungry for sure as you can expect a wide variety of food and drinks because they’re setting up a feast along Seashell Lane. Expect many different stalls, from hotdogs and fries to boba and other sweets, they have got you covered.

ANIME & COSPLAY

Anime lovers are in for a treat as they will see their friends and meet new ones and talk about their favorite shows and characters with each other. Not to mention if you’re wearing a costume of their favorite movie, anime and game characters, people will definitely be taking and asking for photos.

Another great thing about CONQuest is that it is a safe space for creative and witty cosplays and no one will judge you even when you’re in low budget cosplays or big over the top costumes. Everybody will love the amazing, creative and witty costumes for sure so don’t be shy and let us all have fun.

MUSIC NIGHT

This year, CONQuest is giving event-goers two nights of music and partying. On Day 1, there’s a Rave Night where fans get to dance to the music of James Landino and Hyper Potions and good thing is, it comes free with your Friday Pass. On Day 2, we get Band Night, you can get this free with your Premium Pass or get it as an add-on for a new price of only P2500. Enjoy the music of Autotelic, Carousel Casualties, James Reid, Lesha, Oh Flamingo!, Timmy Albert and The Rose.
