Get GROOVY as we countdown ‘til CRAVITY’s Masterpiece Tour in Manila!

by Philippine KPOP Convention August 3, 2023
written by Philippine KPOP Convention

This is definitely not a dream, PH LUVITYs!

We’re just days away until CRAVITY is set to hit the Manila stage for their 1st WORLD TOUR MASTERPIECE happening this Saturday, August 5, 2023, 6:00 PM at the New Frontier Theater.

REMEMBER WHO WE ARE

CRAVITY, known as the Monster Rookies of their generation, debuted on April 14, 2023, under Starship Entertainment. They are dubbed as “the idols that emerged as a global artist that attracted the attention of the fans globally”, which is true to its name, as they became the first 2020 rookie artist to debut on the Billboard K-POP Hot 100. The group also earned major awards, including “New Artist of the Year” at the 12th Melon Music Awards and the “Rookie Award” at the 4th Soribada Awards.

The 9-member group consists of Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin. “Center of Gravity”, the meaning behind the group’s name, embodies their way of bringing creativity and gravity together through their art and musicality. All together as CRAVITY, the boys shined as a group that introduced wide-diversified concepts, genres, and amazing choreographies, encompassing all expectations among the general public.

INTRODUCING: CRAVITY

It’s time to take your blues away ‘cause we’re taking you to CLOUD NINE as we go over CRAVITY hits that could spice up your MASTERPIECE playlist even more!

1. Break All The Rules, Hideout: Remember Who We Are – Season 1 (2020)

Starting off with their debut single, Break All The Rules, the song perfectly represented the group’s strong suit for a charming yet compelling concept, making it a spectacular introduction to their dynamics as a group. It expressed each of the members’ powerful auras; from the rap verses to the vocals and the well-coordinated choreography, CRAVITY sure left a mark in the industry just through their groundbreaking debut.

2. Veni Vidi Vici, The Awakening: Written In The Stars (2021)

One thing about CRAVITY is that they never miss! Veni Vidi Vici explores a different side of the group’s artistry. The electrifying sound of the guitar strikes combined with heavy pumping of the drums definitely made it the perfect song to jam out to.

3. Boogie Woogie, New Wave (2022)

Nothing truly goes wrong with a little boogie woogie, as the song brings a nice and upbeat vibe that can surely lighten up your day. If you’re looking for a great day-starter, this song is definitely meant for you.

4. A to Z, MASTER:PIECE (2023)

The fast-beat romantic love song expresses a personal desire of getting to know a person in every aspect possible. Along with the song’s nostalgic feeling, the members’ vocality is truly impressive as they sing their hearts out all throughout.

Fun fact: WJSN’s leader and rapper, EXY, also participated in writing the song along with singer and songwriter, SOHLHEE.

5. Groovy, MASTER:PIECE (2023)

Five months after their last comeback, CRAVITY released Groovy as the title track for their 5th Mini Album, MASTER:PIECE. Bringing out a more electro-funk and heavy retro vibes, Groovy strongly showcased the group’s bright musicality with its melodic hook and hip-hop influence in between.

CRAVITY members Allen and Serim also participated in the songwriting process, making this comeback even more special for LUVITYS.
