IU’s solo concert “2024 HEREH World Tour” in Manila, which was her return to the Philippines after five years, was wrapped up with success. A huge crowd of nearly 40,000 people attented her historical stop as she was the very first K-pop solo artist to perform at Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
She opened the show with her hit song “Holssi,” and then carried on to sing “Jam Jam,” “Ah Puh,” “Bbibbi,” “Oblivate,” “Celebrity,” “Blueming,” “Eight,” “Coin” and “I Stan U.”
Maenas kept the energy high in the arena as they perfectly executed all the fanchants and sang along in Korean.
Maenas were surprised as IU also prepared a surprise cover of “Pasilyo” by Sunkissed Lola. She sang the entire song, making Maenas amazed by how she perfectly pronouced Filipino words.
“Did you like it? When I first heard this song, I really liked it so I practiced. While I can hear that you liked it, it made my practice so worth it. I was so happy while singing this song,” she said.
Maenas had a lot of fan projects as well such as banners. They also surprised IU withe their flawless performance of her hit song “Good Day” which includes a three-octave high note.
“I’ve been singing this song for a decade, but this is the first time na na-surprise ako nang ganito,” as she spoke with the translator. It was the hardest part of the song, but Maenas were so confident, and she added “My eyes are very big behind the backstage.”
After her setlist, IU surpised her fans with an en-encore that included “Someday,” Give You My Heart,” “My Sea,” “Lilac,” “Strawberry Moon,” “Well…” and “Palette.”
As the concert comes to an end, she told her Filo fans “Kita-kita uli tayo” and promised that she will some back soon.
