Collaborations and comebacks dominated last week’s happenings! Featurings from BTS’ Suga and EXO’s Baekhyun with IU and BOL4 respectively dominated charts while comeback announcements were also made like for BLACKPINK. Zion.T and Chungha reveals that they are set for a collab. In Mnet’s comedy show “Song Farm,” Zion.T went to find her next partner. He was able to get Chungha to work with him and they are set to release on May 18 at noon KST.

Cho Seung Youn, aka WOODZ, had made an announcement last Tuesday regarding his fanclub name. Seung Youn’s agency announced that the official fanclub name would be MOODZ. Three things to take note in the fanclub name is first, the beginning letter “M” is the reverse of “W” in WOODZ; second, MOODZ represents the romantic “mood” of WOODZ; and lastly, MOODZ means for those who wants to share in that mood and be his ‘muse.’

IU just released her newest track, “eight”, that is being produced and featured by BTS’ Suga. An hour after the release, it debuted at No.1 on Korean Music Charts such as Melon, Genie, Bugs and Soribada. It also swept iTunes charts around the world. To date, the song has already achieved a perfect all-kill on the charts. Eight is said to be one of IU’s age series songs together with “23,” and “Pallete.”

Another great collaboration happened as BOL4 dropped the heart-warming track “Leo” that features EXO’s Baekhyun. The song is a pre-release track for her upcoming album. As per Soompi, the track was written by BOL4’s Ahn Ji Young with Vanilla Man resulting an unusual vibe with a touch of jazz sound and string ensemble.

ATEEZ has been appointed to be the ambassadors for KOCIS (Korean Culture amd Information Service) by the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Park Yang Woo. The group is now expected to promote the Korean culture overseas. ATEEZ just started their role as they made a campaign video “Overcome Together” where they share insights to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Momoland gave out a heartwarming donation according to their agency. The group donated 1,180 kilograms of rice to the underprivileged via Korean Red Cross. “We donated in hopes of giving some help to many people. We hope that this will give strengths to those in difficult environments,” the group stated. Previously, Momoland also donated a hundred million worth of anti-bacterial mask cases.

Looks like the long wait is over, as BLACKPINK has been teasing their Blinks and everyone for a comeback. The group just shared an update through Jennie’s Instagram Live. The members were gathered in the studio and said to be preparing for their upcoming comeback. Jennie even said that the group has been in the studio almost everyday working on it. Earlier last week, YG Entertainment also confirmed that the group finished recording their new album and set to return next month.
