Have you ever imagined a show with 2nd to 4th generation K-pop idols with OPM artists? If you did, then it’s becoming real soon, because APink, Nam Woo-hyun of Infinite, and Lee Minhyuk aka HUTA of BTOB, and CIX, along with OPM icons, Nobita Band, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, and Ice Seguerra, will captivate audiences from various interests, at the Big Dome.
Let’s be familiar about the K-pop artists that headlines the show this coming Sunday:
APink last visited the country in 2016 for the MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 held at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds. Pink Pandas are elated to see Yoon Bo-mi, Kim Nam-joo, Park Cho-rong, Jeong Eun-ji, and Oh Ha-young once again and we can’t wait to see them perform the title track of their 10th Mini Album [SELF], D.N.D.
They are best known for their hit songs My My, Mr. Chu, No No No, and Luv, among others, but their debut song back in 2011 is one that you should know.
Nam Woohyun of Infinite, have just visited Manila last May 13 for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 (MUPH) held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. It’s an honor to have him back in our country again, in between his preparations for the most anticipated return of his group, INFINITE, that delighted their fans by announcing their comeback date, July 31st and an Asia tour beginning in Seoul on August 19 and 20 at the KSPO Dome.
In 2016, he started his solo career with his EP titled Write.., followed by Second Write.. (2018), A New Journey (2019) and With (2021). The vocalist also released a solo digital single “A Song For You”, which he performed in his Solo Concert, “Arbor Day” in 2018.
Woohyun debuted as an INFINITE member in 2010 with the title track, “Come Back Again” from their first EP, First Invasion.
Lee Minhyuk visited Manila and performed at SUPER POPCON with his group, BTOB, along with other 3rd generation groups, VIXX, B1A4, B.A.P and PENTAGON last July 2017. This is the first time he will grace the stage as the solo artist, HUTA, who has been active as an underground music artist prior to debuting in BtoB in 2012. His solo Korean debut in the mainstream scene was announced in January 2019 with an self-composed album, Hutazone, followed by his first solo concert, Hutazone: Two Night in February 2019. On November 5, 2021, Lee released the digital single “Good Night” then his second studio album, Boom with the title track of the same title in 2022.
His group, BTOB, first showcased their powerful vocals with their debut single, INSANE.
CIX (pronounced as C-I-X), is finally meeting their Filipino FIX! It’s the group’s first time in the Philippines, but it’s the fifth for one of the members, Bae Jinyoung, who last performed at the Mall of Asia Arena during the manila leg of Wanna One World Tour – One: The World in 2018 and his solo fanmeet, IM YOUNG in 2019. Some YG fans may be familiar with Lee Byounggon (BX) and Kim Seunghun (SEUNGHUN) as part of the Silver Boys crew and YG Treasure Box survival show, but they are now part of the quintet as leader/main rapper and vocalist, respectively. The group’s name came from an English acronym of “Complete in X”, means that it is completed only when all 5 unknown members come together, and it implies the meaning of ‘completion of unknown numbers’. On May 29, 2023, their sixth EP OK Episode 2: I’m OK was released with the title track, “Save Me, Kill Me”.
CIX is a K-pop group formed by C9 Entertainment in 2019, consisting of BX, Seunghun, Bae Jin-young, Yonghee and Hyunsuk. The group debuted on July 23, 2019, with their first EP titled Hello Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger with the lead track, “Movie Star”.
The sensational performances of the K-pop artists will follow the dedicated sets of each local artists – Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Ice Seguerra, and Nobita.
Be You 3: The World Will Smile advocates the spirit of unity and strengthens inclusivity, celebrating the indomitable spirit of the cleft lip and palate community.
