EL CAPITXN has a surprise for BTS fans attending his concert

It’s no secret that EL CAPITXN and SUGA of BTS are close friends. The two South Korean talents have collaborated on several projects, including SUGA’s own D-Day and D-2 solo albums, where EL CAPITXN played a significant role in writing and music production.

For his upcoming concerts in Manila and Bacolod, happening on December 12 and 14, respectively, EL CAPITXN plans to play “Dear My Friend,” a song by SUGA from his album D-2, co-written and co-produced by EL CAPITXN.

As a teaser for the special performance, EL CAPITXN released a rehearsal video where he is seen playing the electric guitar to the chords of “Dear My Friend.”

The song has a special place in both EL CAPITXN and SUGA’s hearts who have both expressed how cathartic this song was for both of them.

In an episode of “Suchwita,” SUGA’s YouTube series, EL CAPITXN talked about how memorable the live performance of “Dear My Friend” was, sharing that he still hasn’t gotten over that moment.

He also added that when he realized SUGA was crying, it “only took a second” for his own tears to start running down his face as a “panorama” of old memories flashed through his mind.

It is for this reason that EL CAPITXN is excited to play the song at his own concert, giving it another life for a different stage.

ARMYs can look forward to hearing this song and more at “WHO KILLED EL? EL CAPITXN IN MANILA AND BACOLOD.” Tickets are now available at SM Tickets outlets and https://smtickets.com.

EL CAPITXN is a music producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter behind several K-POP hit songs including “Daechwita” by SUGA, “eight” by IU, and “Rendezvous” by AHOF. This December 12 and 14, the renowned hitmaker is staging his first-ever concerts in Manila and Bacolod.

A Night Full of Chae-rm: His Majesty Won Filipinos Hearts

written by Philippine KPOP Convention

Last Sunday, November 23, the South Korean actor Lee Chae Min had his first-ever fanmeeting in Manila for his “Chaem-into You,” at the New Frontier Theater— giving his Filipino CHAEMFs a night that’s unforgettable. Even though it was his first time in the Philippines, he felt at home thanks to the love and loud cheers of his Filo fans.

From the moment he went out the stage, his excitement was very evident to his face. “It’s my first time here in Manila and I’ve been excited to meet my Filipino CHAEMFs. It’s still very overwhelming until now. I have been very excited but I think all of you are more than my expectations,” he said.

He also added that a lot of people around him told him that Filipinos have a very passionate and loud cheers, he then claims that witnessing it firsthand exceeded all his expectations— “It really is beyond my expectations, it’s really amazing. When I look at you all closely, I think you really have beautiful smiles,” he further highlighted.

One highlights of the night was how game Lee Chae Min was. His cheerful approach to every segments, such as TMI’s, fan interactions, speaking in Tagalog, dancing to popular TikTok videos, and doing aegyo that had his fans screaming with kilig. He also made sure that every moment was initimate and personal by always looking at his fans, waving to them, went down the stage, and sheepishly smiling at their cheers.

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without getting further into his popular drama, “Bon Apetit, Your Majesty,” in which he played the kind yet charming Yi Heon. He also surprised his fans that his favorite cuisine from the series was Macarons. He added, “I really liked it because it was not very, very sweet and it had the authentic Korean flavors— I really like the savory flavor of Macarons.” Aside from that, he also talked about his favorite scenes from the series, where he chose the emotional moment when Yi Heon lets Ji Young go and the heartfelt kiss scene that the viewers loved.

Throughout the evening, Lee Chae Min’s sincerity was very evident, especially when he became emotional during his fans’ surprise fanmade video. He expressed his gratitude to his Filo CHAEMFs for their unending support. As the event come to a close, he performed “I Find You” which made his fans say goodbye with a smile.

And to top-off the night, every fan— regardless of their tier, had the opportunity to experience a “Hi-Bye” moment with Lee Chae Min. It was in fact a priceless farewell that made the entire experience incredibly memorable.

This event was made possible by PULP Live World and Varo Entertainment.
