[WEEKLY FEATURE] Victon’s Continuous Howling

by Stephanie Macayan March 28, 2020
written by Stephanie Macayan

VICTON (빅톤) has been in the Kpop industry since 2016. They’ve worked hard, produced music, and dreamed to become one of the most successful groups in the entertainment industry.

VICTON

Just like other groups, Victon undergone a crisis period that tested their fans all throughout their journey.

The group had their hiatus back in 2018 and according to their agency, Play M Entertainment, it was hard to continue promoting them because the group was not bringing profits, thus Byungchan and Seungwoo joined the reality show “Produce X 101”. Even with these challenges, Victon still made a comeback after more than a year with 6 members for their 5th mini-album “Nostalgia.” Han Seungwoo promoted with X1 as one of the winners of the reality show.

2019 was better for the group as their latest album entered the Melon Music Chart at 51st rank and their song peaked at 34th rank while their other B0trancks also entered the chart. On top of that, the boys also got their first ever win in any music show. Their song “nostalgic night ranked first on SBS MTV’s “The Show.”

Recently, Play M Entertainment officially announced that Han Seungwoo will be promoting with the group again. On January 9, 2020, their agency posted on Twitter that the group are preparing for a comeback soon with complete seven members. The group returned with their new mini album “Continuous,” which features the title track “Howling” and won again on “The Show” but now with the complete 7 members.

Victon endured a lot before what they have achieved today. Thankfully they were able to manage and strive for their success and did not choose to disband. Their fans, the Alice, are really lucky as Victon chooses to continue howling and receive more achievements!

Congratulations to VICTON!

KANG DANIEL “COLOR ON ME” Fan Meeting In Manila

by Philippine KPOP Convention March 28, 2020
written by Philippine KPOP Convention

One of the most awaited fan meeting this year was Kang Daniel’s fan meeting. And he did not fail his fans.

Last October 19, 2019, Kang Daniel met his PH DANITYs at the Mall of Asia Arena for an intimate fan meeting which was promoted by All Access Production.

After Wanna One disbanded, a lot of fans have been waiting on Kang Daniel to have his solo debut. After months of waiting, he finally debuted as a solo artist with “What Are You Up To?” as his lead single.

PH DANITYs were able to witness once again the greatness of the Nation’s Center. Kang Daniel performed “Intro (Through the Night)” and “Color”. He also did show his sporty skills as he did the relay game.

Kang Daniel became emotional when he saw the fans’ video for him. He was speechless after watching it and the word, “Woah”, was the only thing that came out of his mouth.

He was so thankful for all the support and felt sorry for making his fans wait for him. Nonetheless, everyone will always wait and support him whatever it takes.

Thank you so much All Access Production for bringing Kang Daniel here. More photos here.

GOOD FRIENDS in Manila

by Philippine KPOP Convention March 28, 2020
written by Philippine KPOP Convention

Momoland, Ha Sung Woon, and Kim Jae Hwan came to Manila last October 5, 2019 for GOOD FRIENDS IN MANILA concert.

It has not been long since these artists visited the country. Momoland was here last January 2019 for their concert. Meanwhile, Sung Woon and Jae Hwan went to the Philippines last year together with their group, Wanna One. This concert was their first concert as a solo artist.

Ha Sung Woon was the first performer to rock the stage of Araneta Coliseum. He surely made every Haneuls swoon with his singing and dancing skills as he performs his songs, “Tell Me I Love You,” “Riding,” and “Blue Maze,” “Blue,” and “What Are You Doing Today?”

Following him was Kim Jae Hwan. His melodic voice filled the whole Araneta as he sings his solo debut song, “Begin Again” which was then followed with “Blow Me.” Not only did he showcased his wonderful voice, he also showed how his dancing skills improved!

And the last performer for tonight was Momoland! They first performed their upbeat songs “Welcome to MOMOLAND” and “Uh Gi Yeo Cha”. They also performed their latest single, “I’m So Hot” and “BAAM”. The crowd was also able to sing along with them when they sang Yeng Constantino’s “Salamat”.

It was truly a night to remember for everyone. Thank you so much DnM Entertainment for this event!
